Current challenges

Current projects

Nakskov is seen as a town with great potential because of the historic buildings in the old town and harbour, as well as the natural environment. In addition, the future improved connection to Germany via the Fehmarnbelt Link is seen as a social and economic opportunity. The "Nakskov 2030" project is a programme of measures designed to exploit these opportunities and potentials.
Since the start of the project, 29 properties in the old town have been renovated. Several vacant commercial units have been converted into apartments. This has improved the cityscape and attracted more residents to the city centre. Overall, Nakskov 2020 has had a positive impact on public life.
